Oh geez, I knew this was coming. LOL Ed, did you even read the links concerning the origin of neoconservatism I posted for Todd above? ???

Anyway,

OK Petey, I'm calling you on that. If you claim to be a Constitutionalist, show us the words our founders used that they were non-interventionists. Don't give me what Ron Paul said, I want you to tell us what Jefferson, Madison or any of the founders said.
"The great rule of conduct for us, in regard to foreign nations, is in extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little political connection as possible. Europe has a set of primary interests, which to us have none, or a very remote relation. Hence she must be engaged in frequent controversies the causes of which are essentially foreign to our concerns. Hence, therefore, it must be unwise in us to implicate ourselves, by artificial ties, in the ordinary vicissitudes of her politics, or the ordinary combinations and collisions of her friendships or enmities."

-George Washington

"Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none."

-Thomas Jefferson

I can tell you exactly why we are involved in the middle-east but I'll wait until I hear your answer whether the founders were non-interventionist
Knock yourself out. :)

The country is in shambles because of socialism. It doesn't matter if it comes from Liberals or RINOs, Socialism is destructive in it's nature. Understand Conservatism is not Socialism, Conservatism in it's truest form is Constitutionalism. Guys like Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, and Rush Limbaugh are not RINOs, they are all strict Constitutionalists. They constantly reference what the founders actually said.
Beck, Hannity, Levin, and Limbaugh are all well-known supporters of the PATRIOT Act and condone the torture of "enemy combatants". Our country is in shambles because the federal government systemically ignores the Constitution primarily due to the New Deal Supreme Court's misinterpretation of the Commerce Clause among a whole slew of other reasons.

Thats true,.... But not for any reason other than RP is much more ancient, than the others.
You don't have to be old to be wise. Ron Paul is very old and very wise. {cool}

If history repeats itself as it's known to do, well it won't be pretty.
Agreed. ;D
