here's my Fiero with a 2 inch drop in front. I'm doing the rear right now. This is as close to a riceboy as I get.

Nice looking Fiero, hope mine looks as good when I get done with it.
Thanks a lot. The only trouble I have is that I'm NEVER done with that car. There's always something I want to do to it. Right now, it's a 2 inch drop with poly bushings, a larger front sway bar, and a rear sway bar. Next will be a set of side scoops, followed by heated leather seats and leather door panels. I may have a sickness, but I don't want to be cured. ;D

nice wheels! what are those - size and name? sweet!

Thatnks for the compliment. They're TSW Blade's, 15X7. I'm running a 205/60 directional Perelli on them, but I think I might bump the backs up to a 215 to fill the wheel wells out a little better.

What's scary is I've actually seen some Fieros like that. Big wing, fart pipes, vinyl graphics everywhere. I feel so sorry for those poor cars.

If it's like the one from the Rock, it's a 355...awesome looking car. I would love some pics if it's not too much trouble. I've been thinking about doing a kit, either the Ferrari 355 or a Lamborghini Countach. I'll probably do the Lamborghini, but the soonest I'll be able to start on a kit is 2004, so I have to keep dreaming for awhile yet.

Sounds like it's going to be an awesome car when he's done. There are still one or two companies still making the 355 kit, but I'm unsure of the quality of them. All the one making high quality ones were sued by Ferrari big time and forced to break their molds. Ferrai has a crappy attitude and they try to put all the kit manufacturers out of business. Sure, there's the issue of copywrite infringement and all, but it's not like anyone building a kit can afford the real deal (which is why they're building a kit in the first place) so they're not loosing any business. Oh well, whacha gonna do?

Here's a picture of an F-50. The Finale is an origional design, and it's actually quite impressive in person.

Shelby only went after the kit companies that refused to donate to his cancer foundation, those who did he left alone. I still don't agree with it (sounds kind of like extortion to me), especially since Ford footed the bill for him to make the Cobra.

Ok, I'm gonna have the rear suspension finished up this week, so I'll post some pics. It was totally dissassembled, cleaned, painted, and modified. Mods included, poly bushings, poly tie rod end dust covers, poly ball joint covers, higher rate KYB struts, Suspension Technique 2" drop springs, a rear sway bar, and some custom painting (silver and red Hammertone). I'm also going to be adding cross drilled rotors to it, but haven't gotten around to ordering them yet.

have you done anytihng to the engine?
I rebuilt it awhile ago to mostly stock specs. It has a mild Hughes cam, 1.6:1 rockers, high performance Holley TBI, and a .030 overbore. I'm looking for the Holley intake (have to get it used as they don't make it anymore), and I'm thinking about buying a header for it, but they're super expensive. I also installed a high flow cat, and a V-6 Fiero exhaust system.

Here's a pic of the engine prior to rebuild. I'm standing in the trunk and my dad is off to the side.

It's a 1986, 151 C.I. (2.5 liter) 4-cylinder. It's called the Iron Duke and has been used in everything from S-10's to Caveliers and others. I've found it to be a really reliable motor. I beat the crap out of it and it never complains. ;D I'm thinking about replacing it with a Series 2 3.8 liter supercharged V-6 from a Bonneville or Grand Prix.

I know a few guys who've done that and they run mid 12's with the engine in stock form. With a performance chip, a cam and rockers, port and polish the heads, and top it off with a SC pully from a Series 1 engine to up the boost, low 11's or high 10's can be achieved. That would be sweet.

I thought about going the V-8 route, but they're really shoe horned in there. I'd still like to be able to change the plugs, plus with the 3.8 liter the weight distribution is way better (actually a little better than a stock V-6 Fiero). The Caddy Nothstar swaps are mean little cars. I know a guy who has a twin turbo one and it scares the living crap out of me. ;D

The Caddy swaps are awesome but way to rich for my blood. In my opinion, Archie make the best V-8 kits out there, and from what I hear technical support is awesome.

The reason I'm leaning towards the 3.8 Liter supercharged swap over any others is mostly for weight distribution. The V-8's (except maybe the Northstar) really make the car ass heavy. The 3.8 on the other hand is really light and makes great power in stock form (250 hp). A light motor is a must for me, because I love tossing the car around and plan on doing some autocrossing when I get my suspension mods done.

If I was going to build a V-8 car (other than a northstar) I'd build something like this monster...

Ok, time for an update. I put off working on the old girl for awhile because I was too tied up with work, but yesterday I got off early and went to town on it. The rear is all done now, except for the sway bar and new rotors. The wheel well liners need to be re-done too, but I'll do that come spring/summer when it's wamer out. I'm just happy it finally sits like these cars should. The wheels fill the wells very nicely. Here's some pics, but I'll try to get some better ones soon.
