Ram Jam More Details pls

OK, I've read through the posts and have found hardly any details of what Ram Jam is. Would be nice to have more details on what is going on and times when it's happening. I'm sure there are trail rides, when? Swap meets? Volleyball? I ask this because I do have to work through the week of Ram Jam. But I live in Kansas and it is not very far from where I live. I'm sure I'm not alone in that respect. I'd like to go but need to target what I will attend with my work schedule. Comments?

ya know, I saw the title of this and was gonna teel you to read the stuff in this section, BUT YOUR RIGHT! There isn't much detail.
As I am not gonna make it (again), I havn't been as involved with the plannign as I should have. The only thing I can tell you is keep poking around, there is a whole section up top titled "ram jam" that is pics fom last year. Check all the way back in the open msg area, might be some threads left from last year that can give you a better idea what went on too.
Hate to say it but the best thing I can say is look around a bit, I know there is some more info, just not sure a, where it is, b, if it is still there. A lot of older, (dead) msgs have gotten cleaned up since last year.

Good luck! Someone else is sure to reply with more info for you.
Welcome to the site!

Hey there srmagnum, welcome to the board! Sorry I didn't catch your post sooner. Send me an e-mail at [email protected] and I should be able to answer anything you need. There's still a few decisions that need to be finalized but if you've read most of the stuff on this board then you prabably have most of the info. Also, check out the Kansas Chapter board. I see you're just up the road from me, you'll have to get together with us sometime.

Well, I'll tell ya this. Other than the wedding that is going to be there, there isn't really a time table of events. Everyone can just do whatever they want, and that's the beauty of it. We aren't trying to organize an all out event, with strict timetables, we just want people to show up and have fun with everyone else that shows up. The ORV park closes down at night, so I'm sure that everyone will be back at the campsite or cruising around Manhatten. I think about the only thing that has been suggested for the evening is to cruise into Manhatten and fill up the Sonic drive-in with big, muddy Dodges ;D

I'm not too far from you either, and I visit ratitude quite frequently. If I remember correctly, I think I talked to you in the chatroom quite a while back. 78 r/c ground up resto? I think that is what you were doing......

that is an AWESOME idea! get all mudded up and hit the town! props to whoever's idea that is.
I made mention of this a while back, but there will also be a car show and parade in Randolph. There is a separate division for ORV. If anyone is interested. We will have several vehicles there, and the Flatlanders Jeep Club will as well. If you guys want to there is no pre-registration for this, it is just show up and pay your $5, or at least that is what it was last year. There are door prizes and plaques too, if that matters to anyone. If I remember right there is also a parade that weekend around Randolph for the 4th, where we throw candy to the local kids along the road. I will post more details when I have them.

Also I think there might be a few non Dodges that would like to join you at Sonic, I know I probably would.

Jeepguy, Is the rest of your club as nice and laid back as you are? It's real nice to see a "jeeper" (no insult there) helping out another brand as much as you have been! granted, we ARE cousins ;D but it seems like there is a lot of "I drive this so that sucks" on the net and in clubs in general.
It is real nice to see someone that seems to think" it's got wheels so it is ok"! I know there are quite a few of you on this board too, so don't jump on me guys! Thanx for all the help you have been giving us with this. If you make it to tellico for our other gettogether, look me up! I will be proud to buy you the beverage of your choice! (Or you can come to CT this weekend, ;D same deal!)
Chris
Phoenix~

Thankyou. Actually the rest of our club is pretty much of the same mindset as me. The founders of our current club, were members of a Jeep only club, but broke away to make a club that would be friendly to all makes. And when you think about it. Most serious off road vehicles end up being Ford, Chevy, or Mopar, with other bodies over the engine and running gear. I would love to take you up on the offer, but I am half a country away. But if you are at Ram Jam, or if I am ever in the CT area, I will look you up.Some day I will make it to Tellico.

Done Yankee. I also posted an avatar. I am really "moving on up, to the East side". Sorry the Jeffersons got me there.

I might be willing to put my truck in the parade and show. I will need a little more info. Like what time, how long, etc.., will it help me out with the cops? You know how they can be.

The car show lasts all day, but the parade is only about a half hour in the late afternoon. I don't forsee any problems with the cops. I do think that your tracks would prove to be quite the center of discussion though.

It is possible that I know her, or have at least met her, as I have been in Manhattan for a while. However, that name doesn't sound familiar.

hey Jeremy, I think I'm going to need a hotel. I'm looking for an inexpensive one that is as close to the ORV park as possible. Can you get me the info about the one in Randolph, phone # address etc.. if you have seen or heared what it looks like in the rooms, what does it have, is it clean, etc... I think I'm going to end up staying in or near Manhattan. I just don't want to drive 15 miles to and from the hotel with my tracks on. Mark
I called the Randolph Hotel and got the rates everything is on the "Ram Jam hotels?" thread. I'm still wondering if anyone has been there and what the place is like. my wife isn't so keen on the cheap hotel idea so if the place is half decent things would be better. you know what I mean
Tracks~

I have never personally stayed there, so I don't know what the rooms are like. I am guessing that it is nothing fancy, as it is used primarily by 4WD clubs and hunters in the fall. However, it is a small town, and I am guessing that the rooms are probably very clean. Something about small town, things are not as nice as elsewhere, but people take care of what they have. Sorry I can't be of more help. I didn't get your message until this afternoon.

Jeremy
Well, if the exterior of the place says anything about it, then I would say that the rooms probably aren't anything special. They looked kind of small when I saw them, and they only have about 15-20 rooms at the most.
