Hey guys, I just swapped out my 4 speed and replaced it with a 727. Now I'm having some trouble gettting the starter to line up? Is the starter the same for an auto and a 4 speed?
Maybe I just have to go through again and make sure everything is tight and lined up.

it should be the same / but if you dont have the spacer plate it wont go in just right

Thier the same. Double check your work.

Yup, I just pulled the started from my '79 (360/727) and it bolted right into my '77 (318/435).
