I am having a discussion with some guys regarding the differences in the late LA roller motors vs non roller. I know the pushrods are different length due to the taller lifter, but the parts catalogs also show that the pushrods on roller motors are hollow. They also show different part numbers for the rocker arms. Did the LA roller motors lube the rocker arms through the pushrods and the rocker shaft???? Why would there be different part numbers for shaft mounted rockers on roller vs non roller ???

I don't know about the pushrod length, but since they were transitioning to the Magnum engine, I suspect this was in anticipation of oiling through the pushrods. In an LA engine it makes no difference (either hollow or solid) since the oil goes through the rocker shaft.
