The rod that runs down the steering column to the ignition switch keeps popping out when I turn the key to the start position.
In the pic below the yellow wire is the one that gets hot when you turn the key to start. When the key is in the "on" position the red wire and the blue wire (I think its blue..the one above the red) both have power.
If I take the yellow wire and the blue wire out and hook them up to the two terminals on that push button, will that work? I can mount it in the dash right above the emergency brake release no problem. Just turn the key to the "on" position and use the button. So, what do you think ? Feasible ? or am I way off base ? Does it need another wire .. some sort of ground.?
thanks for any info,
c.
The push button is new and was a spare for a tractor I used to have.
