It's always nice to learn from your mistakes.

That's known as breathing over the machine. And its usually a good thing.

18 breathes per minute is 28% more than 14 breathes per minute.

LOL really hard , l mean l,m rolling
A little humor is a good thing.
A little math... not so much.
All those years of math in school didn't really help me in the real world.
Figuring square footage is the most common math I use.
That, and figuring out what people owe me. ☺

Kurt, you don't realize how much algebra you use when calculating materials on the job.
(X x $7.00) + (Y x $15) + (Z x $3.00+) + (A x $20)

X = number of sheets

Y= buckets of mud

Z = rolls of tape

A = Boxes of sheetrock nails

Add in to that knife blades + cost, labor + rate, etc
Nope ... I don't.
I know what those items cost.
So it's adding and multiplication.
Sheetrock is right about 3+x what you said. 4'x 12'x 5/8"
Don't use buckets of mud... boxes. Less money than buckets.
Close on the tape... 500' rolls.
Nails are so Mesozoic Era. Screws are far superior. More expensive though.
:)
I suppose your right.
Very simple algebra though.

so my visit was cut short yesterday as the "social workers" showed up and wanted to talk , l explained to suzy that l had to go early to talk to them about getting her HOME and she understood , l said good bye and followed them to their office , they gave me the complete run down of everything that needs/hasta be done to get the ball rolling
# 1 / entry & exits [ l have 3 - front door with narrow ramp [ angle not to spec -steep ] - side door with wide ramp [ angle fine NO railings ] - basement door at ground level
# 2 / hospital bed with side rails and holders [ go'in to CT [ Torrington ] Saturday morning to buy a bed [ if not sold and the lady still has it ] l can get 1 for free if l hang on and wait , the local March of Dimes has a state wide DME [durable medical equipment] loan program , but l,ve been searching there site for a month now to get a bed for my MOM and nothing yet , l,m just gonna buy this 1 so the process go's faster
# 3 / a 4 to 6 hour backup battery pack rated for whatever machine we get and/or a stand bye self starting generator [ l already have the Generac Guardian 12-KW on LP 100 lb tank [ it needs a new battery as l was to cheap to buy one / prior l just hooked jumpers to whatever and let it run like that when the power went out ] so l,ll hafta fix that [ l,m gonna get the battery pack also just incase [ you never know ]
# 4 / all this needs to be in a room large enuf to walk/stretcher on both sides [ living room - who needs furniture ] either bed room is big enuf but the house has small hall and door ways
# 5 / then this whole shit show needs to be inspected by - local building inspector - nursing home - Fire Dept - insurance company and anybody else that can make money off of it by inspecting it
Everybody wants a piece of your pie.
BUT, at least things are looking better; which makes it all worthwhile.

2/20/22 there is NO report for 2/19 as l left early in the morning to go to CT [ Torrington ] to get the new hospital bed and didn't get back till late afternoon [ had a blow out on the hiway at 70 and almost rolled the van ] and then coming home it was a complete "white out" snow storm at 20 mph on a 65 mph hiway [ a 3 hour round trip took us 6 hours ] l did get to visit with suzy for an hour or so , she is becoming more "awake" each day to were she did not conk out on me once during my visit [ but she is still a bit emotional and pissed off about where she is and her condition ] so today l,m off shortly to go visit my MOM at the other nursing home then go see suzy after that
The plate is full.
Then you get more issues to handle.
Take care of yourself too. If something happens to you, you won't be able to help your wife.
"Slow down and be careful." My mom. ;D

"Too many cooks spoils the broth" has never been more true. If they're going to assign a team, that team needs to communicate. You're doing great, but these folks seem to be used to just getting by instead of doing the proper work. That attitude is everywhere these days, but it doesn't belong in your loved one's healthcare. Sheesh.
Yep. For sure. I think it's been around a lot longer than "these days".
Unfortunately this stuff happens all the time. People die... oh well. Sheesh.
It's a good thing your there Dean to be her advocate. Keep on!

My friend always had this to say about stuff like this... "80% of the people of this world are walking around with heads up their butts. It's probably closer to 90%... but I'm trying to be nice."
Or he always quoted the Peter Principle: the principle that members of a hierarchy are promoted until they reach the level at which they are no longer competent.
There you go.

Well, I think we all can fall into the category of walking around with our heads in our butts. BUT, hopefully, we can recognize the error of that and correct it quickly before disaster strikes. ;D

small but SAD update

the Doc/Nurse practitioner suddenly died a few days ago at a young age 64 , even though l butted heads with her several times about suzy [ feedbag & the knee thing ] she was still a very nice lady , l,m NOT saying this is what she died of but she just received her Booster shot several days before , GOD bless her

Well that sucks.
Yep. We can butt heads with people, but in the end, we should agree to be cordial with each other.

You're right Kendall, normally if someone died right after getting vaccinated you would say that it was from another cause but there is an abnormal amount of rising cases of people dying just days or weeks after getting their shot(s). There are no coincidences. Everything is cause and effect KThaxton.
But Joe is still alive and semi- kicking.

Don't think small or weak of me. but after watching Suzy die no matter how peaceful ( which I should not have done ) the Love of my life for the last 30 years. It really effected me to the point were I just can't deal with it. I go into a cold sweat .my heart pounds and I start crying ( like I am now ) it just paralyzes me. I.m just not ready/prepared yet to deal with it. I.ve only been back to the house once since the 17th and that was to give my sister the cats. I just break down into hysterics crying. I should be stronger than this but I.m not

that above is the text l sent the family [ both sides ] they are hounding me to get all the prep done [ cremation - wake - burial ] yes they should be helping me but instead are pushing me [ l see their point of view - Big strong 6ft 250lb man should be able to get this done ] but l cant and just need some time

Grief is a funny thing
Yep. Take your time.
