I watched my mom at the age of 61 go through a similar situation. It was THE hardest thing I have had to endure - (even more than waking up paralyzed in a hospital 2 days later) - was watching her go through that. You seem like a - I don't take shit from no one and I'll bust your lip - kind of guy (the guys I get along with best). May I speak man to man - Just make sure to balance your personal time and space with being around close friends and family through this and talk about it, don't let your emotions build up inside (your doing a good job on here) - AND, be honest about the situation and always do what's best for Susan. If she is a believer in Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit then both Susan and you have nothing to worry about. God with you.

1/22/22 last nights report didn't get written because l went out and got drunk with friends , not only to cheer me up but celebrate the news "Suzy is wide AWAKE" and totally conscious [ albeit ] still in a fog/groggy , but she passes the LAME American Medical Association coma test [ snap fingers , flashlight in the eyes, squeeze hand] . l think it had more to do with the loving prays from you guys and Father Joe's sermon , l would like to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart

It's definitely a lot easier to carry the load when you give the weight of it all to the Father in Heaven to bear.

Nurses are the same here. When I was in the hospital for 7 months I experienced the same thing. So many heartless and proud about it humans out there.

It's a hard thing to do, sucking up that pride, I struggle with it constantly but it is wise to make friends with the enemy. Häagen-Dazs works as a great gift also! Lol

A little math... not so much.
All those years of math in school didn't really help me in the real world.
Figuring square footage is the most common math I use.
That, and figuring out what people owe me. ☺

I swear they just want people dead because they seem to just not give a shit anymore (for the most part). You're like me Dean - swing first and ask questions later. Lol

It's true, clear heads prevail. I practice my calm daily - especially in the last 3 years.
Bucky, I also know how you feel, I lost my mom in a very similar way. I was absolutely furious. We used to have the best Healthcare in the world but now I can't even get them to help with any physical therapy or parts for my wheelchair. I hope the world ends soon because I'm not looking forward to getting old in a wheelchair with this level of Healthcare that we get today. There is no more accountability. Lots of people are heartless. It's terrible.
