i asked some "all around mechanic" about exhaust pipe size one day, whether 2.25 or 2.5 would be better on my 360. this engine has headers and a tq with no other mods. he said 2.25 would be better. then i asked if his shop can mandrel bend the pipes and he had no idea what i was talking about. so i ask you guys, 2.25 or 2.5 inch pipes?

With headers I would go 2.5.

Unless you're planning on more engine mods, I'd hang with the deuce and a quatta.

Wow... He knew what size to use but he didn't know what a mandrel bender is Yikes! I think he needs a sign....

if the engine is otherwise stock, go with 2 1/4"...if it has a cam and other mods, 2 1/2" might be better, depending on what the mods are.

I had 3" from the headers to the mufflers, and then 2 1/2" out the baclk and it really didn't seem much different from the 2 1/2" to the mufflers, and then 2 1/4" out the back I have now.
