Am I asking for trouble by trying to remove the cab and walk off in one piece? Don't know if it will create problems with fender and/or door alinement ? Thanks lot of great people full of info here.

Nah, should be pretty easy. Just remove the fenders, unhook the steering column and wiring and undo the body bolts and it should just lift off.

got 4 body bolts to the frame... the fender bolts to the cab... the brake lines, emergency brake cable, & wiring. If the bed is off, the just support the fenders & pull up & back off... if the bed is still on, easier to remove the front clip to pull cab off to one side.
