If Im not mistaken there used to be a How To on locking the CAD. I have a 90 RC and would like to do this mod. If i remember correct all you have to do is lock the cad and put on some manual hubs? If someone still has a copy of that how to I would like to see it again.

it is easy...toughest part depends on how much rust in on the truck...

if you do this and you don't have manual hubs.. will it hurt the running gear to have it engaged all the time??

hurt the actually metal components, no i dont think so, but it will hurt gas milage, big time

no, itll just wear faster. and i dont think it hurts the gas milage that much either. the one in my RC is locked and i still get 12-13mpg.

It took me 15 minutes to do, as far as I know, It would just increase tire wear, but I have manual hubs.

increase tire wear? it would increase driveline wear if u left the hubs locked, but im not seein how it makes the tires wear faster.
