if you dont have the smog cops nose up your (dodges) @$$ then there is plenty of choices for performance exhaust. most headers are made speciffically for 2/4wd dodge PUs/SUVs from 72-93. bigblock headers for 70s trucks will aslo fit newer trucks with bigblocks swapped in. some fit more. headers can be bought on any budget. they run from $80-$500+. you get what you pay for. some people prefer ceramic for looks, durability, and perforance. they run about $200. they have a life-time guarantee. good choice in mufflers are dynomax. they sound better and are cheaper than flowmaster. a h pipe or x pipe is a good addition to a performance exhaust. tri-y headers are good for low end torque due to the advanced scavenging effect. regular tube headers are fine though. car craft was trying to prove that open headers are bad, and inadvertantly the results went agaisnt their theory. they gained low-end torque and horse power losing 1 ft/lbs and 1 hp at the top end.
