I am retrofitting AC into my 82 RC.  It is a 318 truck that was built without AC.  I grabbed the AC compressor, all the brackets, and the pulleys off of a smallblock Dodge van.  Except the power steering pump brackets.

Looking at the brackets and pulleys before I start the swap it appears that the old pulley for the P/S pump will be occupied by a belt for the AC compressor.  Is this true?  Rockauto lists the same P/S belt for AC and non-AC applications.  I have far more experience with slant sixes than with V-8s, so I don't know offhand if adding AC will require changing the power steering pump bracketry as well.

Can anyone confirm or deny whether adding factory AC brackets and compressor will require changing the non-ac PS setup?

Thanks.
