My brother has a '99 intrepid with the 3.2L V6 around 120K miles. He has a "hot" cylinder. ie... he put in a new plug a while back and about 2 months later he was inspecting them and one was all white with residue. What causes this? All the other plugs are nice and clean.

He replaced them all at the time, I was just using that one for the example.... miswritten

I would pull the codes off the computer first and see if it registers a misfire. I too would be inclined to say if it's one cylinder that it's an injector problem or a posible vacuum leak.

I would lean towards a vacuum leak. Faulty injectors tend to have a poor spray pattern and the fuel don't atomize correctly which don't burn good giving a rich condition.
