Hi all, just wondering if we should plan a chapter get together after the holidays. Off or on pavement meeting is fine with me. Or maybe we can go visit the lonely guy up north (AZ_RC), and maybe he can take us on some trails, probaly be cool up there. I'm open to anything. Happy Holidays to all.

SNOW!!?? SNOW!!!???? Why do Want to drive in snow for? ;DO.K., just joking ;D I have'nt driven in snow in almost 10 years. It'll be fun to learn all over again :-\ I've got the weekends free. And if need be, maybe a day or two in the week for long trips{cool}
We definitely are in need of another get-together. AZ_RC doesn't have his rig together yet, so he's not quite ready to hit the trails...unless he hitches a ride with someone.

For timing, it will definitely need to be at least mid-January for us. What do you guys think? Shall we put a separate poll up to decide whether it's pavement or dirt -- or do you want to make that determination within this thread?

Let's hear it, guys!!! ;D
I myself would prefer the dirt ;D but I'm not picky. I'm by myself, so some company would be appreciated{cool} I just got a new camera(early Christmas present that me and my dad got each other), so I'm just itching to try it out ;D
Mid January sounds great
Yeah, right now the RC is in several major pieces in the garage, and I seem to keep creating more mini projects for myself. I do think that mid-Jan would be fine, just gotta stop disassembling and start reassembling!!
As far as snow and trails, I have both right here, but don't think the trails would be do-able in snow. What I have in mind is already a solid 3+ scale, with side-hilling 25% of the time. I don't think side-hills and snow are too healthy a combo.
How about Crown King at night? Jackie said she won't do the night run. Even a get together where we bbq and have the kids with us. I know my baby boy will come I don't know about the two older ones. I finally got SSM off, boy seniority is great ;D. Well I'll keep posted, see what happens.
I would be up for a get together also. I would suggest an on-pavement. We had a good turn out the last time at the Scottsdale Pavillions. Maybe this would give us an opportunity to discuss the next off-pavement adventure.

To AZ-Trailduster: My headlights used to dim real bad at a stop sign also. I replaced the ground wire from the battery to the engine block and installed a new ground from the block to the frame (previously missing). This helped the problem quite a bit. They still dim a little but nothing like before. Just a possibility.
I like the CK at night idea, because I keep my eyes closed most of the time anyway. It'd be a little chilly on top, though. Have to wear my fleece speedos.

A dirt do would be fun - just got the 4" lift on the Ramus and it's ready to go try it.
Right on George, lets see some pics. My RC is sitting in the driveway waiting to go. I need to bring it down to your place so you can tack the head tank brackets on the radiator. Both sides are completely cracked apart. Right now its held together with .050 safety wire, I noticed it before I went on that trail 42 ride. And maybe a couple of tabs on the brush guard to mount a couple more lights.
I would like to get together for another off road excursion. Just say when and I'll request the time off. Sorry about the long absence, but with work, a possible move to Seligman, and trying to get my R/C running good again I've been really swamped. I still have the video of our CK trip, it was my brothers video camera so he needed it back after I was finished with it. I need to get with him to make copies of the trip and give them to whoever wants one. Just ignore the commintary by Monica and I. ;D We weren't expecting this to be viewed by anybody but us. It's not bad as in "R" rated, just goofey. I hope you guys enjoy it. :D
Hi Josh and Monica, Jackie and I were wondering you went off to. I'd like a copy of that video, just let me know how much it cost to reproduce.

Hey, glad to hear from you, Josh! I was afraid that one time out with us was all you could stand! :)

That video sounds great - I'd love a copy commentary and all.

?? Of the lift kit or of the speedos?? :)

Safety wire?? Not like you to use safety wire...

Is that brass or steel you need welded? I'll have to refer you to my welder-fabricator across the street if it's brass.

Otherwise, bring it on down.
How about a pot luck somewhere?

i wish i knew how to cook :-[

i can bring toast! ;D
But I can bring Cinnamon toast!!!
I guess we can get together for breakfast. I'll bring coffee to dip the toast.
I would be up for a get together at lake pleasant. I missed the last one, but it looked like everyone had a great time. We could do a BBQ (George could hopefully bring El Fuego) and we could do a little trail exploring.
Hey guys! We're definitely getting the itch to get together again. We need to lengthen the front driveshaft on the Ramus before we go offroad...the new 4" lift rocks! 8)

There should be some pretty trails around now that the wildflowers are blooming from all the rain we've had!
