I was sitting here thinking about parts I need to rebuild my doors and what do about the broken plastic titty on the vent window latches. Pretty common on these trucks.

I bet a lot of guys need them, be a simple part. Maybe make them a tad long so they can be trimmed to the length needed to pull the vent window tight.

Wish I knew of somebody with a printer.
Cardboard shims made from a case of Milwaukees Best works well to draw the window in. :)

The titties are about 4,5-5mm in diameter and stick 3,5mm out. Can't really tell the total length of the piece.
Is "Titty" really the technical term for these because that's just what I've always heard them called.

I'll drill the broken off remains out of the hole in the latch tonight, see if I can get an accurate measurement of depth and ID.

Be warned, I'm old and the dimensions will be in inches, not bags of M&M's.

yeah that's what I thought you guys where talking about. I can always take inches and convert to MMs. Been reverse engineering everything in mm to have the best part quality and fitment as possible. I currently do not see why these can not be done. I'll have to look at mine to see how they assemble. that will be the biggest challenge. We'll just call it the Titties part or vent / cigar window nipple. I'm going back to try and finish dialing the CAD in for the trim clips

All Right about time! All the parts you see in the photos are in pre-production, then function checks, then some more testing before sale. I'm currently expecting everything to be ready for sale in mid January maybe a bit sooner, but don't count on that. Then after I plan to work on more parts like the Smaller trim Clips, then the Door Vent thing. I will Post Photos when I get my actual Parts so you can see how they turn out! They Defiantly look different than that from a CAD screen Shot.

I got Seat Belt Buckle Covers (3 Version Dodge Penta Stare, Cummins Ram, Blank), The Big Trim Clip, And 2 versions of a dome light covers, Regular and Slat versions.

I would suggest not putting mopar part numbers or logo's on your Cad parts , Chrysler will pursue legal action , they will win too .
They do not like people making money off there trademarked parts and logo's , without permissions .
I've seen it happen

I appreciate the feed back. I have designed the parts enough geometry wise where they can not touch me there. But if they are gonna legal action me on a old logo. Then they have a lot of people they need to sue before they get to me. Such as these guys who sell clothes and hats with their logo on it, who you know dont got their blessing to do so.

But ill cross that bridge when I get there. I'm just one man trying to help out & make some money while I'm at it. Unless I'm pulling several thousand dollars a month. Im perty sure they'll leave me a lone as long as I dont make them look bad.

good luck , the ones I have seen were all old logos from 60's,70's,80's emblems and parts , and those even were smart enough to remove part numbers . Chrysler seized all materials, molds , and technology used to manufacture the items . Then turned around to making and selling the parts themselves , Lost money was there motivation , especially $12,000-24,000 a year .

Jokes on them if they can think they will seize all my equipment because I have none lol. Just intellectual property. They gonna scoop my brain out? And take my inventory of 5 parts? Plus, with them all going electric, Even Dodge it self. I doubt they want anything to do with combustion stuff. Especially this old. I think my risk is very low at this point in time. My Product Lines are base on Historical Accuracy and Preserving the Era. Which the Equivalent of being a Library / Museum for lack of better words. They can always send a cease & desist letter, then we can have a conversation if or when that happens.

BIG UPDATE!!!! I Got my Pre-Production Parts in today! Time to do all the Function, Fitment and Torture Testing!

I do have a few tweaks to make on the Big Trim Clips, But Subtle. Just was off like 0.25 - 0.50mm on a few spots. So Easy Fix. Then Fix the Jagged end on the Slat Light Cover, a simple Chamfer will fix that. But the dome light covers fit really good, they lock in so well. you got to use a small flat head to get them back out. Then I will get the parts smoothed out to be injection molded / glass like over the next week or so.

Sorry for the lack of up dates, Been busy as all hell getting ready for the holidays. Since I has some free time during my vacation. I have hopefully finish my final draft of these damn big trim clips. Also, I over hauled the Slat dome light cover (See photo of CAD below).

I also, put in my 1st big production order of parts in, everything except big trim clips "Obviously for due to design delays and struggles". Which have been build, but are gonna be smoothed out to be injection molded / glass like the 1st week of January when I get back from vacation. Which are currently still slated to drop (Provided no other delays) to for sale in mid January. Then hopefully the Big trim clips will be ready by the end of January or the 1st half of February, if not sooner than later.

How about some phenolic throttle body insulators. Specifically for the 88-92 TBI. 318 and 360. I'd like to have one that goes from 360 holes tapered to 318 holes.🤷‍♂️

Thats a great idea. I have to do some material research to pull this off. I have to find a material that we use to do that.

The parts do look awsome? I think it was mentioned already. But definitely the trim piece on top of windshield that holds the headliner. And the piece right below the sterring column that holds the fuse box. Thoes 2 pieces alone everyone would want. 2 most broken.

That's a good point. Most of the used trucks come without them. I recently found the steering column cover for over 100$ on ebay. That's insane and I'm glad mine is OK.

They look AWESOME!!!
Are you 3 d printing the seat belt pcs?
Jim
Yes all parts are done in Industrial Additive Manufacturing (AKA 3D Printing). But I'm a 2nd generation in the industry. So, I do it professionally. I do not build crap. lol Its all high end $250,00.00 - $1,000,00.00+ Machines. With the absolute best materials possible. And thanks, I worked hard on them.

Yes, it was mentioned. I got such a long wish list to get done lol. I have to reverse engineer all of them. and I'm Self Teaching my self CAD. So takes me a min to do more complicated stuff. But I can do the fuse panel next. It Should be supper simple to do. Mine is still in tact, I can even make the part even more beefy so it doesn't break anymore. My trim piece a top the wind shield is busted, but I have a few big chunks I should be able to reverse engineer off of. but that part will take me a long while to get right I feel like currently. My machines are not big enough to build it it in one piece. So I might to have built it it into 3 separate pieces with a dove tail you assemble and use like JB weld to put it together. But will be paintable.

Even for ease in shipping, I would go with 3 pieces. Look at the way the pieces meet at the edges, with the overlapping parts. Copying that might work better, and still look factory (just not exact).
