Whoop more progress done! Finally got the 1st official draft done for the deluxe trim clip! Currently I'm building it now, should be done in about an hour, to test a few things out that I can here on my truck. Once I do all the test fitment I can and doll the CAD up. Then I'll get it sent back out to @billyclifton15 for actual fitment. I know I'm gonna have to jack with the spring ear tabs at the top for a fact.

Still meditating on the Center caps. I might be over thinking it. But who knows till it click in your mind? any who see the photo below of the deluxe tail gate trim clip.

Well, its damn near an identical match in a lot of aspects. Got to adjust very little over all. Only major edit will be on the spring ears. Which mite take a few attemps.

@HOBO are you the person that 3d printed a replacement fuse panel for the 74-81 ramchargers that incorporated modern fuses and lowered the relay bays?

the 70s big trim clips look very similar. should be easy to make a smaller (I think) version that fits those. I have an .STL that fits it if you like

If you know the CAD is damn good & spot on I review the file for potential issues. Then Get one made to confirm it'll work. Otherwise I'll have to CAD from the ground up.

found the guy on facebook...looks like the project turned into vapor ware...which is sad

Yeah, if you bought that for your truck. It melt "Deform / Warp" most likely and not be as nice has my stuff. Unless thats just the prototype, But damn that down skin looks like shit.. Unfortunately I can not replicate the part with these photos, I need more information. Such as Dimensions, OEM part, Upgraded connectors planned to be used specs, & ETC.

I know, not the best or greatest news. but the truth. I do not have a Facebook / link also does not work for me. I just wish I had more time to CAD / Prototype things for our trucks so I can produce more stuff at a faster rate. I'm at least trying to be a real deal shop.

Is there more photos? Did he say what material I'll be made out of or what technology it'll be built in? Good someone picked the project back up.

If I'd make them for example id run them in mostly likely nylon 12 Glass Filled. If not just Nylon 12 unfilled.

I run these monster currently at work. Besides the machines at the house.

WARNING Tangent In bound. Lol. Sorry you got me fired up. I just love what I do

Not trying to brag or show off. But if those guys don't step the game up to my level of expertise & just build them on shit home machines is in PLA that'll melt, maybe PETG or a Photoplymers ABS "will crack like 2000s dodge dashes" or something they'll parts will fail you & not last long. I like to build things that last 20 - 30 years for out trucks. One reason I'm slow to produce stuff. Because I want it to be nothing short of the best.

Again sorry for the rant. Just got me fired up on what you can really do in Additives Manufacturing.

Curiosity question. Who owns the company that owns these machines? And if you leave this company for any reason, are all the parts now "out of production"?

I admire your enthusiasm! I admit that I know absolutely NOTHING about 3d printing or materials. The guy on FB didn't say anything about materials though...

One of the orginal people who help started the industry owns this Company. His name is Dr. Xu. Sloved a lot of major software issues.

And no if i leave this company I can always make my parts. My dad is who I actually have make my parts, he's got a machine. & there is company's called Service Bureaus. You can go too. My parts will always be available. For its done by on demand.

The goal is to have a website where it sent the file to the machie & it just makes it.

All good! Just the application engineer & process expert came out. Lol & ask away. I'll be more than glad to answer questions.

Normally the hobby guys & these shit desktop machines gives us pros a bad rep. For 90% of the public have no idea what they are doing. Lol. So that normal gets me fired up to. Lol

I've skimmed all 16 pages but haven't found any mention of the headlight adjuster mounts. they are some form of nylon and what is available is garbage. They are available from dorman but most of the time the ears break during installation and if you happen to find any NOS they are also brittle and prone to failing during install. Just a thought to a small part that on the surface looks like it would be a good candidate for your services.

Right on! Yeah that one no one has mentioned before. Have a link to the doorman part so I have a reference?

I'm using hollow wall anchors on mine as I had several sets of the OEM style fail during installation, I believe these are the ones that I had but am not sure. Dorman Headlight Adjusters
