Guys,
I need some pics of the rear frame section on the pick up trucks. I need to see the rear cross member & frame side rail.

I am trying to come up with a mounting point for a rear bumper/winch mount. I have 3) 1988ish RCs here to measure so I should be cool with them.

Maybe a 70's RC also

Thank you!!
Jim

PS;
Please post ideas if you want because it will help with the final design.
Thanks,
Jim

Thank you for the pics!!!
I want my bumper mounts to bolt onto the side of the frame & also wrap under the frame & bolt up through the bottom. Now I see that the trucks have nothing to interfere with my mounting points. The RC has that body mount that I already am working with.

I am thinking about making a winch mount style like my front bumper. What do you guys think?

Thank you for the pics!!!

be aware that Some hitch receivers bolt to the underside of the rails , but IIRC they are forward some ...... first is a 93 1 ton p/o modded bumper with looks like a Reese  other 2 are a 92 3/4 factory step bumper unmolested with a Valley hitch

Thanks for the Pics!!!
I'm thinking about adding the 2" receiver to the underside of the bumper also.  Or having the Option of adding it if some one wants it.
Thanks!!

Not a great pic, but the winch mount is cradled by 4 big L brackets (the step part of two step bumpers cut in half) with the frame rails, and winch mount sandwiched in between. With a ton of 1/2" and 3/4" bolts providing the squish. The reciever tube is just mocked up for now, still debating on how to mount it.

This box will be sitting on the 3" blocks. Don't plan on much if any offroading.

I hope by next weekend my mockup will be done.

I decided to make it 1" deeper (Front to back) so I can add a vertical back wall to make a "winch box or storage box" I am also looking into a flip top to keep everything covered.

How's that sound?

How about a bunch of 1/2" to 1" holes to let water and snow drain out?

Definitly have a lid, so the top can be used to step/ sit on.

I do usually put some 1" elongated holes for drainage. But thanks for the Idea!!

I ordered a Warn 9.5 XP from our friend chris @ Tide water off road. He is a great Dodge guy to deal with!!!

It should be here by Monday :)
