Hey everyone, new guy here.
I just picked up an 85 Dodge 250 and wanted to know what you all think, suggestions you might have and websites I can get parts for this model truck. The guy I bought it from said the truck has been sitting out in front of his house for almost a year and he just wanted to get rid of it. So we agreed on $1000 and I drove it home.

Here is the Specs on the truck.
360 Motor, 727 Trans, 1200 Stall,
New Performer RPM High-Rise Manifold,
Hedman Hedders, New Radiator, B&M Trans Cooler,
Shift Improver Kit, ALL Around Rancho Shocks,
4" Suspension Lift, 3" Body Lift
35-12.5 TSL Radial Swampers, New Tow Package, Alpine CD player.

Here is some pics of it.

I bought it just like that for a $1000 with all the Mods.
The guy I bought it from said he bought it to play around with and maybe learn about engines. Said he bought with all the Mods for $4000 a year ago and at the time he wanted a cool looking truck to play in the mud with. He said he only took it in the mud 3 times, after that he got bored with it and let it sit for about the last year and he just wanted to get rid of it and to make hime an offer. I offered $1000 and he said take it away.
The only thing I have found wrong mechanically is the alternator.

Well I looked up the VIN numbers and I came out with an 1983 Dodge 150 frame topped with a 1985 Dodge 150 Body.
So I guess its a half ton, it also has an NP 208 T-Case.

Future plans include-
painting
redoing the whole inside of the cab(bucket seats, relocating the Tach, Water & Oil pressure gauges, and maybe rhino lineing the inside).

Any good websites where I can search for parts by Make, Model and Year for OEM or Aftermarket stuff?
Thanks Guys

The aftermarket supply for Dodges could sure use work. There are some links at the top of the screen that may help you out in your search. Ebay is pretty good for some aftermarket stuff or OEM.

Part of owning a Dodge is accepting the fact that parts are sparse and a little costly in comparison to a chev or ford.

By the way, congratulations on the rig. It's very nice. Those tires and rims are worth more than you paid for the whole rig.

JC Whitney got some desent stuff. They make some good replacement stuff for the interior also. Another option would be to restore the interior your self. Such as repaint the dash with dash stain, going to a junkyard for some bucket seats, Roll on bed liner for the floor, etc. the more you can do the more you will save.

Thanks for all the comments and Info everyone. Already pulled out the seat and all the old carpeting that was in it. That was as far as I got and then the Air Force decided to send me down here to Keesler AFB, MS for some more training. So I will have to finish it up when I get home in couple weeks.

Yeah I have a few plans for it. I have already gutted the inside of the cab and cleaned it all out. I am thinking about getting the inside of the cab Rhino Lined so I dont have to worry about a dirty carpet. Want to put a seat out of a newer dodge in it, get it painted, maybe some get some mickey thompson bead locks for it, new exhaust for it, right now the exhaust exits in front of the right rear tire (dont like that) so I am going to have it exit out behind both rear tires. I will keep you all updated with pics as I go along.
