The last couple of times I have took my '83 RC out in the mud I have lost the rear u-joint, so I have decided to swich to to a bigger u-joint. I have a bigger drive shaft that will hold a 1350 u-joint, but how do I find a yoke for the rear end? Will yokes off any D60 (ford, Dodge) work or is the splines on the pinion different? Is there any out there that use u-bolts instead of straps, or will I just have to go buy a new yoke?
Should the stock u-joint hold up with a 440 and 35" Boggers?

Andrew,
is this a regular 1/2 ton setup you have now? With all the torque from the 440 you need to look into getting a rear yoke off a dana 60 or 70 much stronger and they can handle the larger Ujoints on the rear driveshaft you have. I don't know if the spline counts are the same but i think they are.

I am using the 1/2 ton drive shaft, with a dana 60. I have a much larger driveshaft that will fit it, but I need to find a larger yoke, perferably with u-bolts.

Yeah, many places that sell gears, driveshafts, and things like that will have the larger yokes for your axle.
