ok i have a 87 3.9 in my dokota and i just rebuild the top end and i didn't do the piston ring becuase i thought it was smoking becuase of the value seals but it not. i replaced those and it still smoking. so i am looking for a v8 instead of my v6 becuase i am better off just puting a bigger motor in it in stead of rebuilding a the v6 again. so my ? is were can i get a v8 at. i live in nh and i don't have that much money. i am looking for a 360 or a 318 but it got to have ac hook up's because my truck has ac. if u can help me that would be good. thank u for ur time

Wow, where do I start?
Okay, you can get a 318 or a 360 donor vehicle, maybe a car or truck that is wrecked or rusted to the point where the owner wants to practically give it away. You could also try a salvage yard, or the classifieds here or in your hometown newspaper. The A/C stuff will stay with your truck, the issue there would be the brackets on the front of the engine, which should swap over from your V6.
This swap will invariably involve some complications, and I am questioning wether or not you can handle it, judging only from this post.
Other issues like transmission, radiator, computer?, etcetera will have to be answered by others more knowledgeable in this area.
