Some of you might remember the valiant if you were here on this site in the 90s and 2000s, still have it, still racing. 1967 Valiant, now with a 470 low deck, I keep it in the 10s to avoid having to put more bars on the cage.
Pic is of the car at the old cambell race track in Oahu, now a target, sadly. We have a county owned drag strip here in Hilo.
68 4 door dart, /6 car, wifes daily driver when not driving the liberty (we use it especially for trips to kona from our side of the island on our costco runs) less than 30k miles a barn find a few years ago on Molokai island. Literal island barn find. In the process of getting big bolt pattern wheel swap, the (not stock, came with 14s stock) 13s make it way too low and I scrape on our dirt road, so it is getting 15x7s all the way around, the 225 has been breathed on a bit with oregon cam, Weber carb, two barrel upgrade, 2-1/2" exhaust, milled head for about 9-1 compression. Gets over 30mpg quite often! I am thinking of putting a small turbo on it to deal with the big altitude changes and loss of power as we travel around this island- going from sea level to 9k feet on occasion! It will be under 6psi so I can keep the carb and mechanical fuel pump.
