HELP ME!! My key is stuck in the ignition in the turned on position and i can't get it out.. i had to start it with a screw driver in the engine and pull wires to shut it off.. i need help please.. :\'(

your more than likely going to have to pull the steering wheel to fix this problem

check under the dash near the column for the ignition box. you're connecting wire may be hung up. if not the lock may be fubar

Starter switch under the dash give out? Same thing happened to mine and that was the culprit.

If this is non tilt there is no connecting rod.. The lever on the back of the lock turns the actuator on the switch directly - it could jam up there too.. You have to take the whole column apart to get at the key cylinder release and the ignition switch.. I had to do both (at different times ) in my '85..

You need a wheel puller, external snap ring pliers and the lock plate tool.

MY key gets stuck too. what I do is lift the bar that runs along the steering colum. that gets the key out everytime. 1988 dodge ram 150.Good luck Zach
