hi guys ! this is my newly acquired crew cab! I've already posted pics on here of it a few times but now I got it in the right place!! lol!......I have been looking for a good 4x4 4-door 3/4 ton crewcab for along time ! then this one just fell in my lap! its in really good shape considering! .....it will have to have new front doors and fenders but all other rust can be fixed! it was originally a navel airforce base truck! all blue! but since has had a few colors on it! white and then the olive drab its in now! I have messed around with the ideas of a big red express super crew as some of you may have seen.. but it would really get away from why I wanted this truck and that is to take my family (4-kids )! up in the woods and wheeling so I think camo of some sort it will be!! I'll try to post pics as I go if you guys are interested!! evildriver-3.....moosehead...mrpealscrew..... and others on here building supercrews I'd enjoy talking back and forth with you guys maybe we can inspire each other and come up with some cool ideas!! ok! book done!! now some pics! lol!..............later KC!

the interior (backseat) the fronts are out of a van or something ? their alright but set a little high! I'd like to run new dodge take out seats in the future tho! and I'm going to go tan for the interior metal and carpet! altho I have been looking at those camo full floor rubber mats? they have them in realtree or desert camo....tan! hmmmm? lol!

and I just got this donated to me by my best friend yesterday! so when I get the inside of the bed repainted good I'll give this a good shot of camo and mount it in........now to find another tire and wheel!! I wish I didn't live so far from where you guys buy those hummer tires!! that would be right up my alley!!

I had this laying around its a hurst shifter out of a 1969 dodge charger but it just happened to fit my transfer case perfectly and was a little higher than stock! so it got the camo treatment! I'll probably go to hell for doing that! 0-well it'll be fun while I'm here on earth....lol!

Now that is a sweet crew !!!!!!! that nad OD green looks damn good ona Dodge anyhow . As for the tires in TX u can probably get a set if you can pick them up from one of the fella's in TX . Might ask about it in their Chapter bopard .

righty-0! lol..........the guy brought it to me from baytown texas! I got it under the reserve! its a great starting point!! did you bid? lol!?

I tinted my rear window and put some stickers on ! now all I need is to get my RCC sticker in!

installed my new steering wheel! now its just a whole lot more work on that interior!!!

worked last week on cleaning the underneath and painting it with chassis black paint! rust killing with por15 and spending lots of time under it at the car wash! the main thing is once cleaned and painted the rust will stop and I can throw some mud protection on it ....lmao!! I didn't finish under there by a long shot because it got really cold on me outside! :\'(

thanks guys! its going to be fun to work on! I've been wanting a 4-door for awhile! its fun just searching for parts!! lol! I bought a parts truck yesterday, I found at a house , but I won't get it till next weekend because the guy as to get it cleaned out and get it ready! but it has alot of body parts I need to get mine in better shape! its a nice truck its self but it has a cracked head or so he says!? I'll check it out! Its a 78 dodge 4x4 1/2 ton extended cab powerwagon blue and white 360 auto! I got it cheap so its going to work out! anyone need any 1/2 ton powerwagon running gear parts? lol! anewho! thanks for the good words on my four door !! later............KC!

Damn nice truck. In FEb I hope to be getting an 85 ex-Airforce crew cab. D250 (Wish it was 4x4) But at least its a crew cab. Keep us posted. Good luck.

thanks guys! yeah I looked awhile to find this one! but funny how it works when you finally get one then you see others everywhere! lol!

here's some updateage for you guys! I've been working on the interior....mainly changing out the older style heater only box to the newer heat a/c heater box with the airvents in the front of the dash! yes I will have hot vent air blowing out the front of the dash!! lmao! those of you with newer trucks this means nothing! but those of you with the heater only trucks know what I'm talking about! lol!

also I got a used lund visior and got it painted and mounted up the other day it really makes the truck look better ! what do you think? I also painted the lights in just a little to make them look more military! lol!

the other day I went and had some single stage urethane mixed in olive drab. and also some in desert tan. so the interior ,inside doors top and door panels are desert tan,except I'm aibrushing over the tanon the door panels with leaves and things to make them look like real-tree camoflage. heres a pic of the divider line in the jam! when I get the panels done I will post them! man this urethane with the flatner lays down smooth! lol!!

I've been using chemical stripper on everything small then prime and paint! here's a pic of the stripped cowl! the biggest part I've stripped yet is the inside of the bed ! it took 3 coats but she went bare metal! lol! just a quick trip to the powerwasher and paint all gone! lol!

I may do more patterns (camo) on the body I guess that will just happen when I get to that point! so what about the photo chop idea-cool!? or does it suck? be honest now!! lmao! later.....KC!

thanks james!!! yeah! it will have tinted windows! I have the back one done....and I tinted the back doors a couple days ago! whenever I get the front doors finished(I have better non rusted replacements) then I will tint them! I bought a set of five eagle wheels the other day but I'm still waiting on the fundage for new tires! lol!

ok....my new progress!!........I removed the old rusty front fenders and hail dented hood ! while they were off I used this time to do all my engine work and paint the engine bay! I also bought an aluminum intake and carter avs from a buddy over at scatpack for it and installed it ! man does it run better!!!

just working through the body work on the replacement fenders off the donor 78 I bought! man I hate bodywork!

after alot of work on the fenders and hood I got them painted ! I got the paint store to mix up some of their military OD green in urethane .....that they supply the Mcalester ammuntion plant with to paint their bombs......lmao! yes the same paint thats getting dropped on iraq is on my truck! bwhahahaaa!!
