looks good man! when is it gunna be done?
Haven't really got a target date. I don't have a reference for how long it should take to install and customize at Ram dash and a Durango steering column into a Ramcharger.
But I am hopefull that it will be on the road next summer.

That is the goal. The challenge has been to make it look like it all belongs and that is could have possible come from the factory this way.

First off, awesome RC Joe, wish mine looked like that, now, I also have an 80 RC and am looking for the side weatherstripping that goes in between the removable top and the body, do you have any idea where I would be able to find it, do you have to replace yours, or am i just shit out of luck ? I went to a dealer and they said they don't sell it anymore, so I'm lost on what to do, if you could help, that would be awesome. Thanks

Lu,

I was lucky I went to a local dealer a couple of years ago and they found a set in someone's stock. So I was able to get a NOS set.
I would suggest that you get a dealer to do a search to see if they can locate another set. Here are the part numbers for that I have:

03899238 W/Strip R 23-063-115
03899239 W/Strip L 23-063-115

Other than that, I don't know anyone that reproduces them.
Sorry, that is the best I can do

You have the cleanest ramcharger I have ever seen. I am jealous and can only hope my w-100 build ends up half as nice as yours. I tip my hat to you and that fantastic work. If you ever have it within 100 miles of me in california, please let me know, as I would love to see that truck in person.

Here are some pics of the modified base for the Durango seats. Like everything else with this project, It ended up being a bigger project than first thought. But the results are rewarding.

Once it warms up in this part of the world I'll get back at it and try to complete the interior... and I'll post more pics.

Look ma, No handle!
Now that I manged to find enough straight trim to achive this clean look... I just might have to abandon the tire carrier and fill in the the holes.

I think that I should get this truck finished so that I can stop changing my mind with what I am doing with it!

Awsome job, man! If you decide to ditch the tire carrier, let me know. I've been looking for one for two years now and I'll buy it off of you!

Well, it took a while, but I finally got my digital cluster. The forgot to include all the sending units so I'll have to wait until next week to wire it in.

The rest of the dash is in the shop getting painted. I should have that back early next week. I will post some picture of that once it is returned into the truck.

So this is what a 1998 Dodge Ram dash looks like in tan.

There is still a lot of work that needs to be completed but at least everything that is going to be visible is painted and ready. It turned out better than I thought.
Looking at these pictures you cannot identify that you are looking at a 1980 Ramcharger.
