...in Vegas. At the Mopars At the Strip meet in March. Not the best pic, but here I'm lined up against Mike Jeffries' 10-second Slant Six powered Valiant.

Needless to say, he smoked me. Oh well. It was fun.

my dad is ahppy to hear it ::) he's trying to get me to build up a slant 6 when the time comes... i still got a year but i'm sticking with a 360 dart ;D

LOL, George! Just curious, what were yer numbers for the day? I would say a "little" over 10 sec?

Yep, that was it. My best e.t. was 18.86. I ran a 18.99 on this pass on a dial of 18.85 It felt like the centrifugal advance was slow coming in, in the distributor. It needs lube.

I cut a .560 light using my eyeballs against Jeffries' .507 using a delay box. That plus the low dial did me in.

high 18s?! what was that ur 1/2 mile time? what was ur speed at the traps? was that in a car? engine in it? well not to bad, my 89 rc will prolly get low 20s if im lucky

No, that was my 1/4 mile time, in the Slant 6 -powered Duster in the picture in the first post.
