hey again guys, truck is running much better now. lol. got a question for anyone on a 2000 Plymouth Neon (bro-in-laws). he is having trouble with a horrible shake when it is put into first gear (5-spd man.) or reverse. is this a hydraulic clutch? mechanical? can anyone point me in the right direction of help. seems to be some kind of linkage proble, or maybe cable tension? HELP! lol

Shakes when trying to take off in first or reverse,... Or shakes when rolling in first and reverse,... or shakes sitting still in gear,...

Try for a better description, and maybe some one can help.

A clutch problem, manual trans right, could be shot, does it do it under hard accel

it does it with slight acceleration in first or reverse. making one hell of a noise when pushing in the clutch pedal

Usually a sign of a bad throwout bearing. Could also be a worn clutch, and the vibration could also be caused by a warped flywheel.

I still vote throwout bearing though (it can cause all three symptoms you describe)
