may have spelled Maguires wrong, but you get the idea

one of them so cheap, quick, and easy things that makes me wonder why I haven't tried it before.

Used that Plastx plastic polish on the headlights on the woman's mini-van. This is the second vehicle I've had with the plastic lenses over the headlights and they pit and scratch qute easily. This stuff cleared the covers up rather nicely. The big pits are still there, but may wet sand them later with some 600 then 1000 then 1500 then the polish again (as recommended by a body-man friend). But just the polish alone made a huge difference. Good stuff!

I still like the old glass sealed beams better for the durability and cheapness of replacement if one does get broke.

What is it? Is this a cleaner, or the film that goes over the lense?

Cleaner and polish about the consistancy of a liquit wax, apparently has some light abrasive to it also.
Removed the minor scratches and small pits and cleared up the factory plastic lenses
