I read in an automotive text book and it said that if you don't use the LSD additive in your differential it may clatter or grab around turns. Does this mean that if you leave out the additive or put less in it will act more like a locker and less like a LSD? Also I have a Dana 60 rear with a LSD unit can I rebuild it with extra clutches or is it already stuffed to the brim? I remember on the 5.0 stangs you could repack the LSD's clutches with extra discs.

Yea if you dont add the aditive the rear axel will lock up (Like a posi) eventualy (It makes a hell of a racket) The first time I came across one that had problems like that I thought they had lost a tooth on the pinion. (Move a little bam move a little more bam in a straight line)

Not having the additive makes them wear out faster, Always use the additive. If there is some chatter add more additive.
