Is your project still paused?
Actually: NO!
I just made a re-start with the project.

First step was to make room around the truck ;D
Now the wire harness has my focus.

Hope to give an update shortly.

Are you going for original or a custom aftermarket harness?
Hi Dick, I opted for an aftermarket harness.
Wasn't really happy with the original.

I also added several extra's, so an aftermarket one was the best option.
My choice was kwikwire.com

How can one not be happy with ancient wiring technology? ;D ;D ;D

I used the American highway 22 in my truck, curious to see how you like the kwikwire {cool}
Good luck with the wiring! Very satisfying when it finally works.

And good to see you back here!

When you're into paleontology, you might appreciate the ancient wiring ;D

The Kwik wire set is very basic; only wires and very basic fuse box.
I chose this one because I wanted to customize most of it. So basically, I only needed the wires.

I see the Autowire set to be very complete. This comes with all connectors and switches?

The kit does come with all of the connectors, but I still reused some of the original housings for the heater, wipers etc.

I liked the AHW kit because you can connect all the wires directly to the fuse panel, making it also very custom friendly.

Yes, really: update!

Started with the wiring. Loom is roughly routed along the entire truck.
Now the exact location of fuse boxes and relay boxes are to be determined.

Any reason for that light above the axle?

This comes in handy during trail repairs in the dark. Also handy during off-roading for trail spotting.

Been a while, but here's an update!
Electrical system is paused for now.

Front driveshaft is in place. This is a newly made piece from Tom Wood. It is custom made with regular joints at both ends. The CV in the rear is eliminated. This because the engine and transmission was levelled (see earlier posts). Now the front output yoke (transfer case) and front axle pinion are lined up, so no need for a CV anymore.
Also the joints/yokes are enlarged: rear (transfer case) now 1350 and front 1330.
The original CV yoke at the transfer case is replaced by a standard yoke from Northern Drivetrain (1350 yoke
The front axle yoke is replaced by a high angle yoke from a Wrangler/Rubicon.
The driveshaft can now take angles up to 30 degrees.

And the next modification: the NP203 now has a two-stick operation.
Never been happy with the old one-stick operation, so now I made a conversion to a double stick; one for HI-N-LO and one for LOC-UNLOC.
The sticks and mechanism are made from part which were in my warehouse 😁
Most of these parts are obtained over the last decades.
Sticks are made of standard rods with the original knobs on top. Pivots are made from tubing with pressed-in self lubricating bushings. The connecting rods are made from threaded rods with standard rod ends.
