Was wondering if anyone has experimented with the low/reverse band adjustment and rear end clunk.  I'm only getting it in reverse and was thinking about backing off adjustment a flat or so to see if it even makes a difference.  Anyone try this?  Obviously I have some play but am trying make it a little easier on the u-joint/diff until rebuild.  Thanks!

Why?  It's not going to help much, if at all, and will probably damage the transmission.  Causing a second problem isn't an effective way to solve the first.

Its a rear end problem, not a trans problem.  Adjust band to factory spec and keep in there

Agree, the infamous "clunk" (if that is indeed what you are referring to) is in the diff, not the trans. No reason to stray from the stock adjustment on the band.
