Finally got some time to poke and prod at the non-starting RC...replaced the battery after determining once and for all that it had to be bad (getting 10volt reading on voltmeter). Just to be sure I had them check it at autozone after I charged it up to where the charger said it was full charged. Read 10.36 volts and came back as a bad battery, big surprise. Picked up a new battery, installed and the RC turned over on first revolution of the starter. Not even a hard start after sitting for about a month and a half now without starting.
So now couple questions...anyone have a really detailed wiring diagram for an 82 RC? I've got the one in the back of a chiltons, which has done ok for finding problems with lights, but I'm looking to clean up some of the wiring in the engine compartment and probably do the relay install to brighten up the lights a little (in the how-to's).
Second question...Can someone explain, briefly or detailed the importance or non-importance as the case may be of 460 Cold cranking Amps vs. 700...old battery in the RC was listed as 460CCA/550CA new one is 700CCA/
CA.
Thanks Guys!
