Not sure how it would work with either the 72-80 or 1st Gen models, but Ron Francis Wiring has a few of those for sale, also.

Try spraying electronic contact cleaner inside the opening on the switch. All the issues I have come across, are the contacts inside the switch, or between the wiring and the switch, or module.

That appears to be just a switch (overly priced in my opinion), would take some wiring, and still need your module.

Might take look at this first.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I will try another ground wire. Previous owner or owners have cobbled a lot of the wiring plus it was non operational for 4 plus years. I bought a universal wiring harness from speedway motors which will be going in this summer which will solve a lot of problems.
