I have a 78 crew cab long box D-200.

I am thinking about swaping in a long tailshaft 727, and then deleting the carrier bearing, and using a longer 1 piece driveshaft.

reason for this is, I have a carrier bearing failing.. the trans is original 78 no work done... I have a freshly rebuilt long tail trans taking up space in the shop.

I cant see how this driveshaft setup would be much different than the one from my 72 Town and Country Wagon.. Heck i think the truck may even have a slightly shorter wheel base.

I plan to use the same shop we use for the driveshafts we need made for our semi truck to R.V. conversions.
