The elk sure catch hell, don't they. Couple years ago there were over 50 head killed by a bolt of lightning here in Colorado.

Man, it's freaky to think that something as benign looking as a lichen can be responsible for all those deaths.

I don't see how this will be a problem to humans. I don't hunt that area anyway but even if I did I wouldn't worry about it.
