The older LA engines and the Magnum engines have the same bolt patern on the exhaust manifolds. But, the Magnum's dump at the back of the engine. Where most other older manifolds dump in the center or between the back two cylinders.

Nope thy will not fit from an LA block . Hell the 94 and up's headers aren't too terribly expensive nad u will lsee they are all shorty style as well .
Do you mean they won't physically fit in the truck or they won't bolt up to the engine. They will bolt up to the engine. I had headers on my LA 318 and kept the same headers when I swapped my magnum 360 in.

so then they will bolt up but would take a lot of work to get them installed. as far as cheap where the best price I can find is over 300.

I had a set of Hooker's on my '83 360, then on my '88 360,
then I put them on the '98 360 I have in my RC now. I have never had any problem with clearances or fitting the engine except on the '88, the block had air ports in the block by the exhaust ports, and I had to fill them up with high temp RTV and an allen head set screw.
