I have just aquired a 90 RC that has been sittin for 2 years. I did the prerequisite Tune UP (cap rotor plugs wires) and changed the fuel filter, drained the gas, and put in some injection cleaner. It takes forever before it will finally hit when it starts it idles fine, and runs good as long as you dont floor it or really get on it. If you do it will almost die, then catch itself when you let off the gas. I m not seeing any CEL so any ideas where to start?

thanks
Bill

Do you know how it ran before it sat for 2 years or is it's history unknown? If it will idle fine, then my first guess would be insufficient fuel volume/low pressure. I would start by checking the fuel pressure.

It ran great when it was parked, I do know that. I guess the timing will be the next thing to check, along with fuel pressure.

Thanks
