I think it was 52 anyway, the one that indicates a rich air/fuel ratio from the O2 sensor. I've also noticed the gas mileage has gone WAY down.

Would that mean I've got a bad O2 sensor or is there something else wrong? I've got a new sensor here, but I'm curious if they go bad on their own or if there is something else to cause that code. BTW, the check engine light is NOT on during driving, just popped on when I turned the key on, then I did the on-off-on-off-on thing and got the code.

You may be running too rich..possible leaky injector or O2 sensor. Check out your injectors first. Air filter clogged? Air flow restricted? :)

Code 52...Rich F/A condition...Oxygen sensor signal input indicates rich fuel/air ratio condition during engine operation.
or
Excessive leaning...Adaptive fuel value leaned excessively due to a sustained rich condition.
