havnt crawled under the mug to look at the T-case yet.

Electronic Ignition no lean burn from what i can tell came from CA years ago.

the "noise". a very rythmic ?knocking? or thunking from inside the engine underneath the head. it is getting spark. right in tune to one cylinder. cant tell which yet. it is coming from the passenger side engine bank sounds closer to the front.

engine is gutless right now. had to put it in low range an reverse just to get it up a ramp.

an then on the right side there is a fast paced metallic "ticking" not quite as in tune as the "knocking" on the other side

suggestions an opinions please!

Ok pull the valve cover take a look at the valve train for the 2 foward cyls and then possibly a bad piston start it up and see which plug wires when pulled or grounded don't make a diff and then you will find what cyls are your problem

Yeah pull the valve cover off. Once my dart had suffered a similar fate and when I pulled the valve cover off the rocker shaft had broken.
