Nobody has ever figured that out. Some of the manuals sorta show it on the lower slide, but we have never figured out how, or why they are there.

You have the hold down pieces upside down. The lip on the end should face up.

Hey, I had a van inspected at a Chrylser dealer that installed them wrong. It happens.
