Got the hub assemblies back on the Dana 44. Everything’s looking good so far.
Tonight I broke out the rebuilt calipers. In the box is a kit with the stamped hardware. But there is also a rubber band looking thing. What’s that for?
Of course when I disassembled mine there was nothing there like that. The manual I have says nothing about it.

Nobody has ever figured that out. Some of the manuals sorta show it on the lower slide, but we have never figured out how, or why they are there.

You have the hold down pieces upside down. The lip on the end should face up.

anti rattle and there just till it gets off the dealership lot [ a rubber band aint gonna last long on brake parts ]

Super- great info on the clips. Gonna put them together tonight with the clips properly set.
The way I received this RC, there is no way to trust what I take off. My manual doesn’t say anything in detail about the clips.
