Frame/ VIN

In the process of swapping a '84 RAM150 into an '78 W200 frame.Everything seems to measure up fine. Just want to know if the VIN is on the frame anywhere??? Thanks in advance, tons of sh$t to learn.

It might of been at one time, but around here and probably up in the northeast you would probably never be able to read it cause of rust.

On my '75 W200 it's located on the outside of the frame below the driver's door. On my '77 RC it's located on the passenger's side.
