After 10 years of owning my truck I noticed something unusual this weekend. My rear hazard lights alternate instead of blinking at the same time. The front lights are normal. Has anyone seen this before? Is this factory for forest service or has someone been playing with the wires? I kind of like it, I think I'll leave it!

mine was originally a USDA pickup, I'll check sometime what it does.
I have checked them before but I don't remember them alternating.

I'd guess it might be something the Forest Service added for enforcement duties mabey. Are there any odd little boxes in the wiring to the rears or anything?

I used to have a 74 powerwagon that used to be a forest service truck. It had what I called a "walk box". Basicaly, I could get out of the truck and use this box to control it, kinda like a remote control, but for my truck and not a toy. It made it real nice for four wheelin on tight logging roads. The truck also had I guess it would be about 4" lift with 33's, detroit locker in the rear and power lock up front and 4.56 gears.
