Hello, I have these heads on my '77 2bbl 318, I have the feeling the valves are bigger than standard, the casting sais it's a 4027163 head.
Are these meant for my engine?

odd, the other head has a different casting number; 4027593.

do they need to be the same castings?

They are both the same chamber and valve size, so should not be an issue. I think the second may have the air ports below the exhaust ports for the emissions air pump.

I'm curious, just got the second head back on the engine, (I have to do everything outside, inbetween the showers, sometimes lasting a complete day.) I hate not to have a shop or even a roof under which to wrench!
