I have the chance to buy a new dual 12" dual Flex-a-lite electric fan for cheap "I's VERY nice". It's going into a '80 ramcharger with a 440. I'm using an aluminum rad out of '98 ram. The fans push 2500 cfm of air. is this enough cooling.

According to that link you posted they recommend dual 14 inch fans. Maybe you can use these fans for aditional cooling besides the stock one.

I got dual electric fans, they keep my truck cool so far which is also using a large 3 core radiator, they pull more than 2500, it is a variable speed fan it pulls at it's lowest 2700 cfm and at max it pulls 4800 cfm, with the air on i have seen it use the higher speed, without the air on it hasn't used the higher fan speed, but it isn't summer here yet so i don't know about only 2500 cfm, i personally would be very weary of that little air in a truck that might be used like mine is, i use the flex-a-lite # 295 fans i have to do a how-to on it since there were a few things needed to get it in right, however you will not be able to use a factory fan and a electric fan together unless you install a pusher fn up front before the radiator, there is absolutely no room for anything else between the water pump and radiator, make sure that fan isn't any thicker than the 1 im using because if it is you will hit the water pump pulley big time i got like an 1/4 inch of room between the pulley and the fans

Does your truck have air conditioning? Automatic transmission? Do you tow? How hot does it get where you live (where is SK?) Is the engine stock, highly modified, or something in between? All these things factor into how much fan power you will need.

The truck has an automatic with a transgo shift kit., no air, 35" superswampers, dana 60/70 combo with 4.88 gears. The 440 has headers, .490" lift cam, edelbrock intake with a holley 770cfm truck avenger carb. The radiator is a 20 X 32" aluminum out of a newer ram. Thanks for the input guys.. ;)

By the way SK is Saskachewan which is a privince in Canada. I live about 20 miles from the North Dakota border

I think they would be ok on an aluminum radiator. The aluminum dissapates heat better then copper, so the 14" recommended fans where for the stock radiator. Since he has an aluminum one, they probably don't need to be 14" anymore, so 12" would probably work in my opinion.

Hey guys thanks again for the replys. I went ahead and bought the fan setup. Hopefully it works, you live you learn. for now they sure look pretty on my work bench " beside my new thorly headers, these things are a work of art{bigeyes}" the truck is slated for the paint booth later this month.
I'v always had to use old used parts, it's sure nice to buy new for a change. 8)
