I'll be doing the exhaust man gaskits next weekend as they are toast on my 80 P/W 360, I am sticking with the stock manifolds for a while as the previous owner just did the y pipe back with single 3" in and dual 2.5" out.
Now there is one stud on each side that has been broke but was still usuable, I would like to change them all just for piece of mind and they'll all be in decent shape for when I put the headers on in a few years.
What is the best way to go about this and how often well the studs break off in the head? Should I just double nut the studs or use a stud removal/installer tool to be safe.
this is the first time attempting this so just trying to get a little info so I'll be ready for whats to come!

Wire brush the crud away from the base of the studs, then heat the stud and apply your favorite penetrating oil. Let the stud cool and the oil soak in, then try turning the stud. Back and forth a little bit at a time, until it frees up, is the safest way to proceed.
