i keep getting this message that pops up

rundll32 has caused an error in <unknown>
rundll32 will now close

iof you continue to experience problems restart

i've restarted it's still there how can i get rid of it what is it?

Operating system =Windows, Yes

If you have lost your CD I don't know how you would go about it except to take it to a professional. Maybe one of the other computer gurus can help.

ok well i'll just dig through my brothers old cds he'll have a copy

what about a system restore?

That may fix whatever is wrong. I've got these types of error messages before and fixed them by reinstalling the operating system. System restore is basically the same thing. Unless you have Windows XP you need the cd. If you have a Hewlitt Packard machine you have to have the cd that came with your machine. Windows XP can restore from the hard drive apparently although I haven't tried it yet.

Now reinstall your Norton and it should fix that problem. When you do a restore some programs you installed may not run right, just reinstall them.
