89 will not be a magnum unless it’s been swapped, it will be a TBI 360…a sniper is basically just a replacement TBI system so no real power gains from adding that alone, you can get 400HP but you’re going to need significantly more work than a sniper and an ignition upgrade.

Something else to consider, if you have used a newer 450 hp truck to pull a trailer be aware that older trucks do not tow the same as newer trucks IMO, even with 450 hp you may find that towing with an older truck is not ideal

The V10 is 100% a torque monster, cant tell much difference between it and a 360 just driving normal. Unloaded side by side race the 360 will pull away, hook a trailer to it and the V10 will pass the 360 like it is going backward.....they are burnout monsters too

If you are going to swap 2wd to 4x4 you have a lot of work ahead of you, I hope you like cutting out rivets, you have about 500 to get rid of...4x4 swaps on these trucks are not fun!

On the 2wd vs 4wd cabs, if you can find a bolt in transmission cover from a 70s truck you can use it to make a pattern of what needs cut out on the 2wd cab and make a removable tramsmission cover

Just as a mention on the RV water pump housing and thermostat issue. Milodon appears to no longer offer the RV style thermostat that Sam had put in his. Him and I conversed about this just the other day. I wanted the milodon version but it is currently not known if they will get any more/manufacture anymore from what I found out. I ended up going with an EMP high performance one made by Robert Shaw. Took me about an hour of digging to find the right part number and style needed as their website is not the greatest. Mr. Gasket still offers theirs, but per reviews they are not to great in the quality department as has been mentioned on this site for a while now.
