Engine instilation ?s

Im droping a 400 in to a 89 ram (former v 6 truck) and it is being a real #&*$ first of all the leveler chain keeps hiting the fire wall lip so I cant slide the engine back far enough to mount it to the trany secondly it dosent look like the motor mounts are going to be back far enough to line up with frame when it dose. Any suggestions? ???
