Hello All,   ???

1978 RC, 360/300 hp crate motor, Edelbrock Performer Carb.....

I have an electric choke on my carburetor that is not working.

Where should the wires be connected?  I know the one will be to ground but what about the other one?

Can it be connected/spliced onto any hot wire or should it go to a specific connection?

Thank you.

It needs to be connected to 12V ignition power.  Depending on the year of your vehicle it probably had a blue wire coming from the oil pressure switch that was only hot with 12V when the engine was running with oil pressure.  This wire went to the original divorced chokes ballast resistor.  I use this wire but leave out the little ballast resistor on the manifold.  I prefer this method because the choke is only getting power when the engine is running.
